  • Human Resources (HR) is an asset of the company that most expensive compared with other assets because the human resource is the main move of the organization of the company.The quality of human resources is the Ability of human resources to carry out the duties and responsibilities given to him with the provision of education, training and experience are sufficient. Then, job satisfaction is important circumstances that should be owned by every employee in the work, where the human is able to interact with the work environment and it can contribute to the objectives of the company and the hotel. This study aims to determine the efforts made the department of human resources in improving the quality and satisfaction of employees in hotel Fairfield by Marriott Surabaya. Respondent is the human resources department of the Fairfield hotel Surabaya. The research method used is qualitative methods that use interviews and filling of questionnaire to get the necessary data. The results of the research conducted shows that education and training have an impact on improving the quality of employees similarly, the elements of such dimensions as work itself, co-workers, promotion, supervision, as well as the rewards also influence the satisfaction of employees. And from this study it can be concluded that the efforts of the human resources department in improving the quality and satisfaction of human resources provide a positive impact for the hotel to improve the quality and to know the needs of its employees.
