  • Introduction: Migration has proven to be an important factor in developing NCD and its risk factors. The process of migration, conditions around the migration environment and changes in residence can make a person more vulnerable to developing NCD and obtain its risk factors. The purpose of this study were to analyze the incidence and risk factors of PTM in populations migrating in Indonesia based on data from Indonesian Family Life Surveys (IFLS) waves 4 and 5. Method: This type of research is observational analytic with a longitudinal study approach. The documentation study was conducted using secondary data on Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 4 and IFLS 5. The variables of this study were migration patterns, duration of migration, age at first migration, diet, physical activity and obesity status and the incidence of NCD. Bivariable analysis using simple logistic regression tests and multivariable analysis using multiple logistic regression tests. Results: The results shows the number of respondents included in the analysis was 680 respondents consisting of 59,71% male respondents, 68,38% aged 30-49 years, 86,76% married, the highest education level was elementary school /equivalent and 55,15% of respondents live on the island of Java. The results of the bivariable analysis showed that of the seven variables only three variables were included in the multivariable analysis candidate (p < 0,25), namely migration patterns (urban to urban p = 0.158), age at first migration (p = 0.182) and obesity status (p = 0,000). The final results of the analysis using multiple logistic regression obtained that obesity affect the incidence of NCD (p= 0.000). This variable become component of the NCD prediction model. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the risk factors that influence the incidence of NCD in the population migrating in Indonesia based on IFLS data is obesity status. Conclusion: Risk factors that influence the incidence of NCD in populations migrating in Indonesia based on IFLS data are obesity status. It is necessary to provide information and education related to health risks that will be faced by migrant groups so they can be more protective of their health in new areas.
