- Introduction. Low Birth Weight (LBW) is a factor that contributes to infant mortality especially in the perinatal period. The incidence of LBW is at high risk of hypothermia which can cause infant mortality. In 2018 the birth rate of babies with low birth weight reached 558 out of 15,841 birth rates in Lamongan District. The purpose of the case study is to explain Nursing Care for Hypothermia in Low Birth Weight (LBW) Babies at RSUD Dr. Soegiri Lamongan Method. This research method uses a case study with one respondent, namely a baby. The data instrument was collected by means of assessment, diagnosis, data analysis, interview, observation, physical examination, evaluation and documentation. Results and Discussions. The results of the case study show that there is a gap between the case review and the theory review on the aspects of the study, namely the examination of supporting examinations, on investigations found platelets decreased. Nursing diagnoses that arise are hypothermia. Interventions emphasize hypothermia management. The final evaluation was reached on the third day of overcoming hypothermia. Suggestions for families are expected to be able to improve family care for Low Birth Weight Babies with Hypothermia especially providing a warm environment and replacing wet linen.
