  • Café, usually known as the place that serves foods and drinks apparently also affects the lifestyle and consumption pattern for youngsters. This phenomenon brings an interesting issue, especially the reason for youngsters visiting café and consuming things to fulfill their lifestyle. In order to examine the needs of the customers based on their consumption pattern, this research analyzed several issues such as their characteristics while doing consumption in the cafe and how it was constructed. The objective of this study is to identify the things that are causing café consumption and also to find out the practice of café consumption. This study applied the theory of consumer culture by Mike Paterson and identified the consumers based on their consumption patterns. This study used a qualitative method by using interviews and observations as its main data. The data gained from cafés in Manyar and Klampis Area. The findings of the research reveal that youth consumption was built because of manipulation created by producents. The conclusion of the research is about youths nowadays are not only consume food and drinks as their main purpose when visiting the cafe. Some products such as Tumblr, cups have become the youth consumer's main intention.
