  • Introduction: Health problems experienced by a person are one of the factors that can cause a decline in Subjective well-being (SWB) status. The effort to improve the patient's SWB status is to improve nurses' skills in establishing relationships with patients through spiritual-based therapeutic communication training (SBTC). Method: The design of this study used quasi experiment with Pre-test Post-test with control group. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of nurses SBTC on patient’s SWB. The independent variable is the SBTC training and the dependent variable is SWB. The study sample consisted of 28 nurses and 28 patients. The statistikal test used was simple paired t-test and independent t-test. The results of the study on patients found in the intervention group showed significant results with a value of 0,000 (p <05). Whereas in the control group showed significant results with a value of 0.344 (p> 0.05). This shows that there is a significant effect of SBTC on increasing SWB in patients. Conclusion: SBTC training on nurses is able to improve nurses' skills in the SBTC and SBTC nurse skills influence the increase in SWB patients
