- Education and nursing service are parts that cannot be separated. The objective of this study was to evaluates application of bedside teaching and clinical assignment methods in clinical nursing practice based on CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, and product). Design used in this research was descriptive evaluation. Populations of clinical instructors were 7 persons and students were 87 respondents with total sampling. Data were collected by using questionnaire, interviews, and observation, data were analyzed by descriptively. The results showed that evaluation of bedside teaching and clinical assignment methods using CIPP namely context had met the appropriate standard, input to discipline of students was good enough, clinical instructor had sufficient capability and infrastructure was good. Product showed more than 50% of students had not achieved competency fulfillment of basic human needs and oxygen needs and pain in nursing care. In conclusion of there was a need for an improvement in process and product evaluation results so that the objectives of the learning method can be achieved. It was recomended that the teaching clinics on the hospital must comply with the standards of bedside teaching methods and clinical assignment methods.
