- The fraction-5 of Aspergillus salwaensis DTO297C1 is an endophytic fungi ethyl acetate extract which is isolated from Chromolaena odorata L has antibacterial and antifungal activity. The purification of fraction-5 using gradient column chromatography and monitoring compound groups using TLC resulted in 19 sub-fractions. Those 19 subfractions were further reviewed by GC-FID and 6 subfractions were selected which could be further identified by GC-MS. There were 10 compounds found in the 6 subfractions namely 2, 4-dihydroxy-3-methylacetophenone, penicillic acid, stigmasta-3,5-diene, 13-docosenamide-(Z), 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol , 2,6- octadienal 3,7-dimethyl-(E), pentadecanoic acid 14-methyl- methyl ester, dibutyl phthalate, isopropyl palmitate, and methyl stearate. There are 7 subfractions which in the study could not be analyzed due to the limitations of the sample and in studies using GC-MS still could not be known because it was not listed in the library, for this reason research with compound elucidation needs to be conducted.
