Daftar Isi:
- Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanni Nees Ex Bl.) is one of the medicinal plants that has been known to be used by the people of Indonesia. Scientifically, the biological activity of cinnamon or cinnamon essential oil has been proven to be antibacterial, antinosiseptic, antidiabetic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. Essential oils are organic compounds obtained from the results of secondary metabolism depending on the type of plant, temperature, area of growth, plants and parts taken by the oil. This study aims to: 1) Know anti-inflammatory activities; 2) Knowing the differences in the anti-inflammatory activity of cinnamon bark oil (Cinnamomum burmanni Nees Ex Bl.) from Kerinci and Lombok. This study used the Winter modification method, carried out on 48 male white rats divided into 8 groups. Group I as negative control was given CMC Na 1%, group II as positive control was given ibuprofen, group III was given 30 mg / kg cinnamon bark oil from Kerinci, group IV was given 60 mg / kg cinnamon bark oil from Kerinci, group V was given 90 mg / kg cinnamon bark oil from Kerinci, group VI I was given 30 mg/kg cinnamon bark oil from Lombok, group VII was given 60 mg / kg cinnamon bark oil from Lombok, group VIII was given 90 mg / kg cinnamon bark oil from Lombok. The test material was given orally 1 hour before being induced with 0.1 ml carrageenan 1%. Paw volume measurements are carried out every hour for five hours after carrageenan induction. From the volume obtained then the calculation of the inhibition value of the study is then carried out and then analyzed statistically by Two Way ANOVA and Post-Hoc Test using the SPSS 21.0 computer program. The conclusions obtained are as follows: 1) Cinnamomum burmanni Nees Ex Bl cinnamon essential oil has activity as antinflammatory; 2) there is no difference between Kerinci and Lombok essential oils as anti-inflammatory.
