- Feline Infectious Peritonitis is a coronaviral disease that affect all ages of cats. Feline Infectious Peritonitis Peritonitis generally occurs in catter, breeders and dense colonies by cats. Typical FIP disease is ichterus and ascites. This study aims to diagnose quickly in detecting Feline Corona Virus. Anigen FCoV Ag rapid test kit is the most needed to minimize transmission of infection and easily to applied. Test developed Anigen FCoV Ag rapid test kit was detected against 20 samples that were obtained from some cattery and breeder in South Surabaya. Using a cutton bud, swab feces then insert swab into collection tube. Take the supernathan using pipette and drip about 3-4 drops of the sample diluent into a round hole. The results will come out after waiting 10-15 minutes, of 20 samples tested by rapid test kit, none of samples have showed positive results, which means the results are negative, which might stop shedding virus by cats. Moreover, some of the Cattery and Breeder in Surabaya no one have Feline Corona Virus.
