  • This research aims was to observe liver histopathological features of mice toward the effect of Moringa oleifera leaves extract to reduce the damage of paracetamol administration. This research used 30 male mice aged 2-3 months with an average body weight of 20-30 grams and using completely randomized design (CRD) method with 5 repetitions for each groups. The negative control group was given 0.5% CMC Na and distilled water, the positive control was given 0.5% CMC Na and paracetamol, while treatments group one, two, and three were given Moringa leaf extract at a dose of 200 mg / kg, 400 mg / kg, 800 mg/kg respectively, then administered paracetamol. At the end of the research, mice are euthanized then liver collection was carried out. The liver collected was made into preparations using H.E staining to observe its histopathological features. According to the results of statistical analysis, there were significant differences (p <0.05) to the histopathological features of the liver in male mice induced by paracetamol between treatment groups. From the results obtained, it can be inferred that the right dose of Moringa oleifera leaves ethanol extract to reduce liver damage due to administration of paracetamol in male mice are 400 mg/ kgBW.
