- Malaysia and Indonesia as neighbors have much in common that is cognate with Malay, Muslim majority. It was certainly easier for a harmonious relationship. However, several cases of political issues, social and cultural (the border issue, terrorism, labor, issue of the works of art that is claimed to belong to Malaysia, and so on) who recently posed that led to Malaysia for some of the image is less positive. It required a strategy to improve relations that benefit both parties. One strategy to improve relations between the two countries is cooperation in the field of culture. Culture is the whole system of ideas, actions and products of human endeavor in the context of a society that's used as a human being by learning (Koentjaraningrat, 1992). There are two kinds of culture that is material and immaterial culture. Key words: culture, improvement, relationships, Indonesia, Malaysia.
