- How is the children’s psychological development post tsunami? Have they experienced Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD)? A field study on the children of tsunami victim carried out in March 2006 in the village of Krueng Anoi, Kota Baro, Aceh Besar, Nangro Aneh Darussalam indicated that, first, more than 90% of the children did not indicate symptoms of PTSD, second, less that 10% of the children with PSTD syndrome in fact was caused more by long term conflict in Aceh including the involvement of Gerakan Aceh Merdeka (GAM).
