- This research was aimed to determine the effect of mahkota dewa leaves extract in total and differential leukocytes count of broiler chicken's blood that infected by Escherichia coli. This research was using DOC of broiler chicken that infected by 1 ml of Escherichia coli with a concentration of 108 Cell/ml per oral. Escherichia coli was obtained from the isolation and identification of chicken's liver from Bratang Animal Market, Surabaya. After 24 hours of infection, 1 ml of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% mahkota dewa leaves extract was given by per oral within 7 days. On the 30th days, the blood was taken 2 ml through intra brachialis for checking the total and differential leukocytes count of broiler chicken. The data analysis was using ANOVA that followed by Duncan to determine the significant difference between the treatment groups. The result showed that mahkota dewa leaves extract could lowering the total and differential leukocytes count of broiler chicken that infected by Escherichia coli.
