  • Coriolus versicolor mushroom has long been used as medication drugs, the active ingredients in C. versicolor fungus was Polysaccharides-Krestin (PSK). This study was conducted to determine The effect of used of PSK that extracted from C. versicolor for 4 months in a low dose by SGOT and SGPT levels. This study used a completely randomized design that divided into 5 groups, namely K (PSK 0.0 mg / kg BW); P1 (PSK 0.5 mg / kg BW); P2 (PSK 1.0 mg / kg BW); P3 (PSK 2.0 mg / kg BW); and P4 (PSK 4.0 mg / kg BW) in Mus musculus with each 5 replication. After treatmentswere complete, Mus musculus blood serum were isolated for SGOT and SGPT tested with a wavelength of 365 nm respectively. Anova test results showed no significant results and still within normal limits, for SGOT results between 105.89 to 129.72 IU L and for SGPT results between 31.77 to 39.71 IU / L. The conclusion from this study was, the given of extracts of Coriolus versicolor PSK during the 4-month did not cause any increased levels of SGOT and SGPT in the serum blood of Mus musculus.
