- Impetigo is a skin infection that is mainly caused by the Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus β-hemolytic grup A, and/or a combination of both. These bacteria can cause infection in sensitive skin. The Factors that can affect include: trauma to the skin, heat, humid climate, poor hygiene, density, malnutrition, diabetes mellitus or other medical comorbidities. Transmission can be through direct contact. Judging from complications due to impetigo, the impact of impetigo is something that cannot be underestimated. In addition, Indonesia is a tropical country with a level of public awareness to maintain cleanliness, personal health, and the environment is still very low.
