- This study aims to examine the effect of social support from parent on career adaptability with career decision making self-efficacy as mediator variable on first year college students in Airlangga University. The definition of social support from parent refers to Demaray & Malecki (2003), the definition of career decision making self-efficacy refers to Lo Presti (2012) and the definition of career adaptability refers to Savickas (2005). The number of samples in this research was 357 first year college student in Airlangga University. The data were obtained using survey method by using survey of social support from parent by Indianti (2015) which consist of 8 items, career decision making self-efficacy scale by Ocriyana (2018) which consist of 24 items and career adaptability scale by Giffari (2017) which consist of 24 items. This research used the calculation for Sobel test and Simple linier regression. The Sobel test result shows that there is influences of mediation from career decision making self-efficacy between sosial support from parent on career adaptability (p<0,05). In addition the result of simple linier regression that social support from parent on career adaptability have significant result of 0,00<0,05. This results has shown that there is a significant influence on social support from parent and career adaptability mediated by career decision making self efficacy and the mediation role is parsial.
