- Statistic Center in 2017 showed the main activity of the elderly is mostly work 47.92%. Quality of life is the main target of health development achievement. Quality of life is an indicator of welfare. Work is a one of elderly health and welfare charactheristik. This study was aimed to determine the quality of life of elderly people who is still working. Methods: This study is classified as a correlational study. The study used cross sectional design. The population under study are elderly in Sembayat working area of the health center with total 164 people. Sampling method are purposive sampling method. Data variables in this study are working status as independent variables and elderly quality of life as independent variables. Collecting data using questionnaires and data analysis using statistical test of chi square with significance value α = 0.05. Result: The result of Statistical tests of chi square between working status with the quality of life of elderly as a head of family domain 1 (physical) obtained yield was 0.939, with domain 2 (psychological) obtained yield was 0,699, with domain 3 (social) obtained yield was 0,162 and the domain 4 (environment) obtained yield was 0.290. Discussion: α score in every domains of quality of life, that is physical, psychology, social, and environment ≥ 0,05 showed that there is no significant correlation between working status with elderly quality of life as a head of family in sembayat working area of the health center.
