- The aims of this research are: 1) to analyze and prove the influence of safety climate to working safety motivation of employees in department production at PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel; 2) to analyze and prove the influence of safety climate to safety performance in department production at PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel; and 3) to analyze and prove the influence safety motivation to safety performance in department production at PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel. Population in this research are all employees amount 313 at deparment of production PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steelwhich is covering commissioned employees at shift 1, shift 2, and shift 3. Total samples are 78 person, with the technique of intake sample is use the system of random sampling. Analysis technique to be used is path analysis by using program of software AMOS 4.01. Result form this research indicated that: 1) safety climate have an influence to safety motivation; 2) safety climate have an influence to safety performance; 3) safety motivation have an influence to safety performance; and 4) safety climate have the biggest direct effect to safety performance from employees in department of production at PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel.
