- Leaf extract of Azadirachta indica (Mimba) contains various active ingredients such as flavonoid and triterpenoid. Those bioactive compounds have antifertility potency by hormonal effect Those active content work through inhibition of mechanism GnRH secretion then follicle undeveloped. The study is conducted to justify the scientific advantages of the reversible female antifertility from leaf extract of Azadirachta indica in the pregnancy percentage were recorded. The research used 20 female mice strain I3alb/C with 8-month old and similar weights are grouped based on the Complete Randon’ r esign (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates. They were 0 mg/kg (Po), mg/kg (P1), 66 mg/kg (P2), and 73 mg/kg (P3). Each extract administered 2 times a day during 10 days 0,5 ml per oral. One day after the extract is stopped then was mated with male mice. The dependent variable was percentage of pregnancy. The data have been analyzed using Chi Square tests. The result of pregnancy percentage for grup FO, Pl, P2, P3 were 100%, 60%, 20% arid 0% respectively. Statistical analyisis showed a significant difference among the treated group (P0,05). Azadirachta indica leaf extract administration has effect on the fertility of female mice indicated with decrease in percentage of pregnancy. So, Azadirachta indica can be female contraceptive properties. Keywords: Azadirachta indica, flavonoid, triterpenoid, percentage of pregnancy,contraceptive
