- Background: Due to the high crime rate in Indonesia, forensic anthropologists play an important role to aid in the identification of skeletonized remains. Sex is considered to be one of the most important aspects of skeletal analysis and pelvis has been known to be one of the most sexually dimorphic bones of the human body. Subpubic angle and greater sciatic notch angle are the major characteristics to be inspected to distinguish between male and female on the pelvis.
