- Parasite is a small organism that sticking to live on a bigger organism’s body called host. A disease which is quite detrimental for the animals in captivity is gastrointestinal parasite infection. Intestinal parasite caused deprivation by taking some host’s nutrients that lead to emaciation, debility, and the decrease of productivity. This research aims to identify the types of intestinal parasite in Landrace pig from Magelang and Probolinggo in Pegirian Slaughterhouse, Surabaya. The faecal sample was taken, on December 2018 and January 2019. There were 60 faeces collected from Landrace pig. 30 sample from Magelang Landrace pig and 30 from Probolinggo Landrace pig. The methods use were sedimentasion, cetrifugal faecal flotation and analizing the data. The data were analyzed descriptively. There are 5 (five) types of intestinal parasites that infect Landrace pig from Magelang and Probolinggo in Pegirian Slaughterhouse, Surabaya. Which are 2 (two) worm eggs of Trichuris suis., Ascaris suum., And 3 (three) type of protozoa namely Eimeria sp., Balatidium coli., and Cryptosporidium.
