  • The purpose of this study is to find out the prevalence, types and different of system maintenance to prevalence of gastrointestinal helminthiasis infection on cat in Lumajang. 120 cats fecal are collected from two different places, those are local markets and the people houses who have cats in Lumajang from three areas in Lumajang. Cats feces were examined with native, sedimentation and float techniques. The result showed that the prevalence of gastrointestinal helminthiasis infection on cat in Lumajang amounted to 55% or equivalent to 66 positive samples from 120 samples observed. The result of chi square analysis obtained p > 0,05 indicated that there are significant differences between taking cats fecal from the local markets and from the house of cat owner’s. Cats wich were taken on the local market had prevalence of gastrointestinal helminthiasis amounted to 78% while house of cat owner’s amounted to 32%. Helmint eggs was found include Diphylobotrium sp., Dipylidium caninum, Ancylostoma sp., Toxocara cati, dan Toxascaris leonine.
