- This research will explain how Malaysia seeks to maintain bilateral relations with China through various cooperation sectors political, social and economic. In explaining the two countries bilateral diplomatic interaction, the perception of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak is the main factor that influence the Malaysia’s Foreign Policy, in this case towards China. This study then gives a conclusion if there is a trend where Malaysia is working to improve bilateral cooperation with China in three cooperation sectors. The improvement of the bilateral cooperation between these two countries is strongly influenced by Prime Minister Najib Razak's view as a state leader. In addition, Malaysia's efforts to continue cooperation with China are in harmony with China's national interests under the leadership of Xi Jinping who has the idea of One Belt One Road (OBOR) covering three main sectors of economy, politics, and socio-culture.
