- A young learner needs the device which can help them in learning vocabulary. One of the best devices is using flashcard. Flashcard facilitated the students in remembering, memorizing and enriching vocabulary words. Besides that, flashcard can increase students’ grade. Through repetition or drilling and recalling, flashcard gives good impacts on the students that are flashcard makes the students more active, happy, and enthusiastic in learning English (vocabulary). In this paper, the writer also gives results about the 3rd grader’s problem in applying teaching vocabulary using flashcard at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Surabaya, how teacher overcome the problems and how the students responded to the flashcard as a learning tool.
