- In this chapter, I would describe the conclusion based on the discussion from previous chapters above.First was about students’ performance was constructing subject-verb agreement in learning recount text. In learning recount text students also learned about tenses, that was simple past tense which has characteristic used irregular and regular verb. Students’ performance could be known through the schools’ standard and the result was mostly students could not able to apply the appropriate verb. So that, most of them got bad score. Second was about problems that students faced in the process of constructing subject-verb agreement in writing a recount text. Mostly problems that students faced were lack of understanding and lack of motivation. Students who lack of understanding literally produced less precise sentences because they did not know what they should wrote in their writing especially about regular and irregular verb in simple past tense when they wrote a recount text. Furthermore, students who lack motivation usually become lazy when they were asked to make story, so they did not show a good progress in their writing whether they could or not to make a recount text. The last was about teachers’ strategies to cope students’ problem of constructing subject-verb agreement in writing a recount text. Giving feedback directly for students’ assignment had a positive impact because students would remember their mistake and gave the right correction to their assignment directly.
