  • Spitting cobra (Naja sputatrix Boie 1827) has been harvested and traded in the local and international market. The main purposes of this research were to study and identify the presence of Pentastomids in commonly consumed snake by human in Tulangan, Sidoarjo. A total of 10 samples were taken in from collectors and the identification was conducted in Laboratory of Parasitology Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga by Semichen-Acetic Carmine staining method. The Pentastomid that found in the pulmonary of cobra was belonged to Kiricephalus genus which is included in Pentastomida sub-class were matched by macroscopic and microscopic taxonomy and observation. The result of this research showed that Pentastomid were presence in cobra snake gathered from Tulangan district, Sidoarjo, East Java.
