- The aim of this research was to compared the influenced of Apis dorsata honey and Apis mellifera honey based on radiographic opacity and weight femur on ovariohysterectomized rat (Rattus norvegicus). 24 female rats were adapted for 1 week in experiment environment and divided randomly into 8 groups (SO, OH, AD 1, AD 2, AD 3, AM 1, AM 2, AM 3). SO which is sham operated groups were non-ovariohysterectomized rats that received aquadest. OH which is ovariohysterectomized groups were ovariohysterectomized rats that received aquadest. AD 1 (1 g/kgBW), AD 2 (2 g/kgBW) and AD 3 (4 g/kgBW) were ovariohysterectomized rats that received honey solutions of Apis dorsata. AM 1 (1 g/kgBW), AM 2 (2 g/kgBW) and AM 3 (4 g/kgBW) were ovariohysterectomized rats that received honey solutions of Apis mellifera. Honey that solved in 1,5 ml aquadest were given orally for 12 weeks. At the end of the week 12nd rats were euthanaized and os femur dexter was taken with necroption technique. The weight of os femur were measured with analytical scales and the radiographic opacity of femur were measured with rontgen. The result show there was significant difference (p<0,05) in the radiographic measurement between OH group and all of the groups. The result of radiographic measurement in the OH group has the lowest radiographic opacity. The result of weight measurement in the AM 2 group has the highest weight and OH group has the lowest weight. The correlation between radiographic opacity and weight femur was strong and positive.
