  • Rice bran is one of the livestock feed ingredient which limited for usage because of its low nutrition and high phytic acid. In the non-ruminant digestive system, there is no phytase enzyme that causes phytate from rice bran to be more difficult to digest because of its strong chelating characteristic. One alternative solution to reduce the phytate content of the feed is by using phytase enzyme produced from Actinobacillus sp and Bacillus pumilus which is expected to hydrolyze phytic acid for rice bran. This research aims to see whether the addition of fitase enzymes can increase the content of crude protein and ash in rice bran. The total sample was twenty-five samples consisting of five replications and five treatments, using anaerobic facultative fermentation for five days, after a five-day fermentation period was completed, the bond was opened, aerated and analyzed with crude protein parameters and ash parameters. Data analysis using Analysis of Variance with the research design is Completely Randomized Design to know the difference in treatment. The results obtained add phytase enzymes to improve the nutritional quality of rice bran content, which increases the crude protein, the highest crude protein is P4 (8%) but not significantly different with P3 (6%) but has no significant effect on the ash content of rice bran. These results indicate that the enzyme fitase has no effect and the increase in crude protein is due to the addition of the enzyme itself.
