  • The purpose of this research was to identify the presence of Influenza B subtype B-Victoria virus on bats respiratory organs in Indonesia. The study was begun in Avian Influenza Research Centre (AIRC) Surabaya on April 2017. Ninety nine bats respiratory organs were collected from some area in Indonesia, consist of Padang and Bintan represent Sumatra island, Bawean represent Java island and Pontianak represent Borneo island. The necropsied and cutted organs were smoothed. Then, the supernatan of the sample organs and 0,2 ml streptomycin antibiotic inoculated in 99 chichken embryonated eggs and the allantoic fluid was tested for haemaglutinin protein activity using microtechnique Haemaglutinan Assay (HA). Samples that showed titre at leats 22HAU/25 μL were continued to HA Inhibition (HAI) Assay using B-Victoria antisera. The result showed from all sampel tested, only 13 sampels were positive of HA. HI Assay was performed and the antisera negatively inhibit the agglutination, it showed that Influenza B subtype B-Victoria virus has not identified on Bats in Indonesia
