- The purpose of this research is to detect the specific protein of Haemonchus contortus which can bind anti-Moniezia expansa sera with Western blot test. Haemonchus contortus was collected from abomasum cattle. To homogenize Whole Worm Extract (WWE), mortar and stamfer are used, then add 2 ml of PBS, after that centrifuge 4000 rpm while 15 minutes, initiation and booster were done to get polyclonal antibody from mice. Indirect ELISA used to measure sera antibody levels. Identification of protein profile by discontinuous system of SDS-PAGE technique with Comasie Brilliant Blue staining. Characterization of specific protein by Western blot test with Western Blue staining used anti-Moniezia expansa sera. The result showed the existence of cross- reaction between WWE Haemonchus contortus antigen with anti-Moniezia expansa sera in a protein with a molecular weight of 141, 115, 80, 56, 44, 39, 33, 28, 23, 21, 19 and 12 kDa.
