  • Bee pollen or Pollen is a mixture of honey from bee secretions and then stored in Bee Bread Comb (Bee bread) and lactic acid fermentation as preservation. Bee bread is processed by bees for storage with the addition of various enzymes and honey, which then fermentation. This type of lactic acid fermentation is similar to yogurt (and other fermented dairy products) (Bogdanov, 2017). Bee pollen contains magnesium that can help in the process of activation of insulin receptors so as to prevent the presence of insulin resistance. In addition it contains vitamin C, vitamin E and flavonoids that act as secondary antioxidants that can help reduce free radicals that trigger the destruction of pancreatic β cells. So in that case the young dates effectively lower blood glucose levels within normal limits in people with Diabetes Mellitus. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design with Pre-Post Test design with Control Group Design. Independent variables are young dates, while the dependent variable is blood glucose, insulin and HOMA-IR index. The subjects of this study were 25 male wistar rats divided into 5 groups at random. Result of analysis by using Manova test (p <0,05) followed by Tukey HSD test (p <0,05). The results of the analysis showed that the provision of bee pollen effectively reduced blood glucose levels (p = 0.002), HOMA-IR index (p = 0.002), and insulin levels (p = 0.002). The levels of GDP in the positive control group (K2) differed from the negative control group K1, treatment group P1, p = 0,000, P2, p = 0,000 and P3 (p = 0,000), insulin group negative control (K1) with positive control group (K2) (p = 0,028), and difference of HOMA-IR index of positive control group (K2) with treatment group (P1) (p = 0,024
