- (Rozalina Loebis, Muhammad Faizi, Mudjiani Basuki) The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between duration of diabetes type 1 in children with prolongation latensi P100who came into pediatric endocrine division of pediatric outpatient clinic in Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya. This study was an analytic observational cross sectional approach in 33 children. Divided into 21 subject with diabetes mellitus type 1 and 12 subject with normal condition. Subject below 18 y.o without low vision and history of intraocular surgery was include in this study. VEP ( Cadwell with flash stimulus) were performed in this subject. The result of P100 latency was analysed using SPSS program. Result of this study with mean of age 13,23 ± 3,20 y.o on subject with DM type 1 which in normal subject was 13,71 ± 2,27, mean of duration suffer from DM type 1 was 41,58 ± 31,63 months. Mean VEP on subject with DM type 1 was 96,46 ± 10,12 and normal subject was 94,35 ± 7.03 ms. From analytic result of Spearmann correlation test, the result of this study note not significant correlation with p = 0,3 (p<0,05)
