- Background: Removable appliance is appliance that can be inserted and removed by the patient him/herself. It can move the teeth and get some treatment from the operator and the patient. The component of the appliances can be broken or damage, so the appliances need to be repaired. Purpose: To know the proper techniques for repairing of removable orthodontic appliances. Review: To repair broken acrylic plate, the broken parts must be reconnected with give a mechanic or chemical treatmen, so that can increase flexural strength and produce good connected parts. Repairing wires components can be done with welding or soldering techniques. Conclusion: Orthodontic wires or acrylic baseplate of removable orthodontic appliances can be repaired whether it was broken or damage, so it can reduce the treatment cost
