- The purpose of this study was to know the histopathological changes of rabbits liver (White New Zealand) after immunized with whole Brucella abortus Strain 19. The research has been done on June – October 2015 at Department of Bacteriology and Microbiology and Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya. Sixteen male rabbits (White New Zealand ) age range 8 weeks with body weight 1,5 - 2 kg was used. These animals were divided into two groups (P0 and P1). P1 was treated with immunization whole bacteria Brucella abortus Strain19 (0,5 mL) with CFA 0,5 mL and boster was given in two times every two weeks 0,5 mL with IFA 0,5 mL. P0 was treated with NaCL physiology subcutan 1 mL and it was repeated two times every two weeks. This research has been conducted for 9 weeks to determine the effect of vaccination in liver. The data were compared using Mann- Whitney U test. Statistical comparisons were performed using SPSS v22.0 for windows. The result showed that vaccination could make histopathological changes in liver of rabbits.
