- The aim of this research is to detect Trypanosoma evansi on Madura cattle’s blood sample in Bangkalan, Madura. Surra is caused by Trypanosoma evansi that could infect cattle, horse, goat, sheep and warm-blooded animals . Surra has acute and chronic form. This research was used 195 blood samples of Madura cattle and used three methods, those are native method, thin blood smears stained with Giemsa 20% and Microhematocrit Centrifugation Technique. After all samples have been tested the result showed negative but Anaplasma sp. and Theleria sp. have been found in samples.
