- The aim the study was to know the most probable number of Eschrichia coli on beef of cattle slaughtered of Gresik Abbatoir. Purposive sampling was used to determined 30 samples of beef of femoral muscle. The result found an average level of Escherichia coli contamination on beef sample in amount of 1014 MPN/g sample. All of 30 beef samples (100%) were contaminated with Escherichia coli, which were include 29 samples with exceeding microbiologi standard limit contamination in meat.
