  • The aim of this research was to prove that the giving of mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostana L.) and curcuma rhizome (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb) infusion can reduce blood cholesterol levels of broiler exposed to heat stress. The material that used in this research is 20 broilers. The experiment was arranged in completely randomized design in 4 treatments, P0 aquadest, P1 5% mangosteen rind infusion under heat stress condition, P2 5% curcuma infusion under heat stress condition, P3 combination of 2,5% curcuma infusion and 2,5% mangosteen infusion under heat stress condition. At the age of 35 days, blood samples were taken through the brachial vein, cholesterol levels was measured using the CHOD PAP (Cholesterol Oxidase Phenol Aminophenazone) method. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued using Duncan, the results of this research indicate the giving of infusion of curcuma rhizome 5%, as well as the combination of the mangosteen of 2.5% and curcuma rhizome 2.5% does not reduce blood cholesterol levels in broilers that exposed to heat stress but by giving infusion of mangosteen rind 5% can reduce blood cholesterol levels.
