- The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of Cissus quadrangularis extract therapy on in female rat (Rattus norvegicus). This research used 32 female Rattus norvegicus of Wistar strain aged 2,5 months old with a weight range150-200 gram. Female rats divided randomly into four groups. P0 are non-ovariectomized rats that received CMC Na 0,5% , P1 are ovariectomized rats that received CMC Na 0,5%, P2 are ovariectomized rats that received raloxifene, P3 are ovariectomized rats that received Cissus quadrangularis extraction. Each therapy administered through oral, once in a day for six weeks .Radiographic examination was conducted two time at 2nd and 6th weeks post operation, four rats for each treatment. The data analyzed using Kruskall Wallis method based on Completely Randomized Design . The results showed that there was significant different (p < 0,05) in the radiographic group P1 with P2 and P3 6th weeks. Callus was more radiopaque, it was able to bridge the fracture fragment completely and the fracture line was not visible anymore in this group.
