- This study aimed to know the body temperature at artificial insemination and the resulted pregnancy rates of highland and lowland dairy cattle. One hundred dairy cattle were used as samples for the highland and one hundred for lowland. Body temperature was measured manually from rectum on every cow artificial at the time of artificial insemination. Observation was done on the 60th day after insemination to determinepregnancy rates. This research method is exploratory field to prove the influence of body temperature against pregnancy rate and the average optimum body temperature to perform artificial insemination. The regression tree test results of there is the influence of body temperature against pregnancy rate but lowlands and highlands does not affect the pregnancy rate. optimal body temperature in dairy cows to perform insemination is ≤37,75°C to produce a percentage of pregnancy by 84% with a sample of 200 dairy cows ≤37,75° C body temperature range between 36°C – 37,75°C resulted in 74 pregnant dairy cows.
