- Breast milk is very important for baby to growth. The mother who gave breastfeeding need breastfeeding self efficacy. Breastfeeding self efficacy refers to a mother’s confidence in her ability to breastfeed her infant. Family support needed to increase breastfeeding self efficacy so that family support is important to mother and their infant. This study aimed to analyze the relation between family support with self efficacy of mother who gave exclusive breastfeeding in Buduran Public Health Center Sidoarjo. The design of this study was correlation with 49 sample size of mother who gave exclusive breastfeeding who were taken by using purpossive sampling technique. Independent variable of this study was family support and the dependent variable was self efficacy. Data were taken by using questionnaire then analzed with Spearman’s rho statistictest. The result showed a significant correlation between family support with mother self efficacy (p=0,000& r= 0,854), r value showed that the coefficient correlation of this study was very strong. It can be concluded that hamily support relates the self efficacy of mother when she gave exclusive breastfeeding. This study suggests the Buduran Public Health Center to give health education related to family support with exclusive breastfeeding to mother and mother family, this is useful to increase breastfeeding self efficacy to mother who gave exclusive breastfeeding and the further research can develop a better research relate this study.
