  • The aim of research was to investigate effect of concentration ratio natrium alginate-gelatine on characteristic of microsphere. Microsphere were prepared by ionotropic gelation methods aerosolization technique and then dried use freeze dryer. Concentration ratio natrium alginate-gelatine, were used to make microsphere, were F1: (2,25 : 0,25)%, F2: (1,75:0,75)%, and F3: (1,25:1,25)%. Resulting microsphere were characterised in terms of characteristic (yield, particle size, and swelling index). The result show that yield and particle size was increased as natrium alginate concentration increased on formula. Statistical test show concentration ratio natrium alginate-gelatine was significant different to yield and particle size. Swelling index show that peak swelling of microsphere became more quickly with increased natrium alginate concentration.
