- Nowdays English is an important language in the world. It can be a mediator in many sectors like business, buying and selling, industry, communication between countries, education sector, etc. In Indonesia, the sector of education can be achieved from formal education and informal education. The writer was lucky to have experience to teach in Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar, Pakuwon city. Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar is one of formal international schools in Surabaya. Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar has many branches from kindergarten to senior highschool. After the writer finished her internship in Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar, she got a lot of experiences on how to make lesson plan, how to teach properly, and how to set an aim for each meeting of a lesson. She learned many things about how to be a good teacher, treat and teach young learners. The writer suggests that Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar, Pakuwon City, Surabaya to be one of the Internship places for her juniors. She feels that Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar, Pakuwon City has given her many experiences and knowledge. For example, besides teaching at Elementary school she also taugh English Club for Kindergarten. This can improved her skill in teaching. People in Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al-Azhar, Pakuwon City are very friendly and they shared many things about teaching and treating children.
