  • VALIDATION OF ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF ZINC SULPHATE IN SYRUP FOR DIARRHEA ANDILA SETIA WIDIYANTI Determination of ZnSO4 in syrup for diarrhea using atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS) and complexometric titration have been studied. The aim of this research was validating AAS for determination of zinc sulphate in pediatric syrup for diarrhea. Validation parameters used were accuracy, precision, specificity, and linearity. The result of this study shown calibration graph was linier on the Zn range of 0,5-2,0 ppm with r value and Vxo were 0.998 and 2,98% repectively. Accuracy and precision of AAS method were 101,2% ± 1,36; 2,34% ± 0,46 repectively. The result of accuracy and precision of AAS method in compare with complexometric titration method for Zn showed no significant difference.
