- Kepel ( StelechocarplIs hurahol, Hook ) is a plant growth in Indonesia and Malaya, belong to annonaceae family and a lot of usage. One of the usage is inhibit of pregnancy or traditional contraception. The aim of research was isolation and identification steroid compound from kepel fruits. Kepel fruits was taken from Desa Sanan, Blitar and extracted with MeOH. Isolation of the fruits compound carried out with column chromatography, Silika gel Merck 7731 as stationary phase and n-hexane-EtOAc, chloroform-MeOH as mobile phase. Isoalation compound waas elucidated using spectroscopic method, such as UV and FTIR and its not to identification.
