The Early Detection of Chicken Eimeria Infection by Examination of IgG and IgM Titre Specific Elisa

  • The early determination of exposure of Eimeria antigen was performed on commercial farm of Northern Coastline of East Java especially for IgG and 1gM using ELISA. CP707 brioler of Charoen Pokphand production was grouped into two groups (uninfected and infected broiler groups) as control groups. The chicken group of commercial farms of Northern Coastline of East Java (Lamongan, Tuban and Gresik) was several chicken groups were examined. The temporal pattern of oocyst output per day confirms those previously reported with this isolate of E.tenella Oocysts first appeared on the seven days post infection, then reached peak on the ten days post infection before numbers declined rapidly and last oocysts were detected on twelve days post infection. The total numbers of oocysts produced with CP707 brioler used in this study was [7,5 ± 0.5] x 106/chicken and the period of patency was [12.4 ± 0.7] days. The highest Optical Density ofIgG and 1gM sera was infected group, in contrast, the lowest was uninfected group through each immunoglobulin had different level on each group. On the commercial farms of Northern Coastline of East Java (Lamongan, Tuban and Gresik) indicate already exposure of Eimeria antigen and unclearly the time course of infection.
