- The aim of this research was to study the prevalence of gastrointestinal protozoa on Macacafascicularis by fecal examination in Surabaya Zoo. The other purpose of this research was to compare the prevalence of gastrointestinal protozoa infection, on Macaca fascicularis in display and battery cages. The result showed that from 36 samples taken from display cage and battery cages at the Surabaya Zoo through feces examination with 3 times the frequency of examination obtained 9 positive samples(25%) and protozoa was Entarnoebahistolytica, Prevalence rate between display and battery cages were analyzed with the Chi Square test showed that there was no significantly different (p>O.05). prevalence, gastrointestinal protozoa, Macacafascicularis
