- This research aimed to investigate the effect of Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana Linn.) pericarp extract on diameter of mice (Mus musculus) pre antral and antral follicles. Twenty female mice were divided into five groups and treated for 12 days. C– administered orally 0.5 ml NaCMC solution, C+ administered orally 0.26 ml/20g Microgynon®, T1, T2, and T3 administered orally 100, 200, and 300 mg/kg BW mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana Linn.) pericarp extract. Experimental groups received the treatments for 12 days, then animals of each groups were sacrificed by euthanasia using diethyl ether. Ovaries were dissected out for observation. The diameter of pre antral and antral follicles were measured under microscope with 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification and using Opti Lab Viewer and Image Raster 3 application. ANOVA test did not show significant difference (p>0.05) among treatment
