- Background. Material that frequently used for denture base is heat cured. When using often accumulated denture plaque due to its rough surface. Desinfektan material is needed to clean denture. Purpose. The aim of this study was to find the effective concentration of avocado seed extract toward the growth of microorganism. Method. The inoculum was incubated in brain heart infuson liquid to let the microorganism grow. Avocado seed extract is diluted in different concentration: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%. Inoculum are dipped in avocado seed extract and put on the mueller hilton agar. After 24 hours, colony of microorganism will be counted Result. There is significant different on the concentration: 100%,75%,50% and 25%, showed a growth of microorganism. Conclusion. Avocado seed extract have antimicrobial effect toward the growth of oral microorganism
