- The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of laserpuncture Helium-Neon (He-Ne) in reducing the percentage of abdominal fat in male Madura duck. The ducks were divided into two groups as: P0 and P1. The laserpuncture treatment was given once every seven days. Feeding was given ad libitum, in addition to giving vitamins for initial period. The result showed laserpuncture on the growth point had no effect in reducing the abdominal fat level on male Madura ducks with the statistic result (p>0,05). However, in the carcass weight and growth rate variable, laserpuncture effect shown a positive significant result (p<0,05). This proved that the increase in fat was one of the factors that influenced the body weight gain of ducks.
