- The Risk factor of Asphyxia neonatorum in Neonatal Ward Dr Soetomo Hospital 2014 Arief Rahmawan, Risa Etika, Lilik Djuari Introduction : Asphyxia neonatorum is a condition of newborns who failed to breathe spontaneously and regularly soon after birthFactors that couse asphyxia neonatorum consist of factorsthe state of maternal, infant state factors and labor factors. Method : The type of research is an analytical study survey research has been done which are case control analytic by using a patient’s medical records of normal newborn and suffered form asphyxia neonatorum. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test and Odds Ratio. Result : The factors which are factors associated with asphyxia neonatorum are low birth weight (p = 0,001) , prematurity (p = 0,000), preeclampsia (p = 0,006), eclampsia (p = 0,004). Conclusion : The result of research shows that risk factors such as infant factors (low birth weight, prematurity), maternal factors (preeclampsia, and eclampsia) that can lead asphyxia neonatorum Keywords : asphyxia neonatorum, risk factors
